“God has not abandoned us and is present among us.”
Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.

Dear Parishioners,

Happy Easter! Alleluia! Today we celebrate the reason we are Christians! And the reason is not a why, but a WHO. Jesus is the reason!

We learn during these Sacred days that Jesus does not give up on us and does not abandon us. Rather He fights for us and will never leave us.

We learn from His journey to the Cross, that we mean more to Him than life itself! He willingly suffered and died, so that we might live. “By His wounds, WE are healed” (Isaiah 52).

As we rise this morning, we celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead, conquering sin and death, and paving the way to Heaven. We learn that each day is a new day, to be refreshed by God’s Amazing Love for each of us, and to go and love and serve one another. His mercies “are renewed each morning.” (Lamentation 3:23)

Let us arise today, full of new life, that we use each day to be a loving and healing presence. We receive the gift of the Risen Christ, and we share that gift with others.

Happy Easter! Alleluia! Jesus is Risen!

Fr. Pat
